Engaging Canadians in a National Dialogue on Canadian Foreign Policy

In between the breaks and around the dinner tables at Connecting for Change, an idea was seeded that has grown into a full-scale national initiative. Shauna Sylvester, with the support of The Simons Foundation and the advice of over a dozen Connecting for Change participants, has designed a three-year non-partisan citizen's dialogue on Canada's foreign policy. The aim of the initiative is to engage Canadians in creating a new narrative for Canadian foreign policy - one that will secure Canada's position as a global leader in fostering the conditions for long-term peace.
